Marlow routs Washington, 15-3, advances to Class 3A state title game

For the first time in school history, the Marlow Outlaws baseball team is headed to the state finals.

After blitzing Washington, 15-3 in the Class 3A state tournament semifinals on Friday at Edmond Memorial High School, the Outlaws (28-7) will play for the program’s first state title today at noon at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in downtown Oklahoma City.

Marlow will play Atoka, which beat Kingston, 9-7 in the other semifinal, for the Class 3A state championship.

A day after scoring 12 runs, Marlow’s bats were hot once again, but Washington didn’t’ do itself any favors by committing three errors that directly resulted in four runs for Marlow while a balk gifted the Outlaws a fifth unassisted run.
