In Class C, it’s still Tipton ... then everyone else
Last December, back-to-back had a nice ring to it, the Tipton Tigers thought as they hoisted their second straight Gold Ball with a smacking of Pond Creek-Hunter, 56-8, in the Class C state championship game.
Tipton's defense was unfairly criticized after a quarterfinal win when it surrendered 58 points to Regent Prep. (Tipton still won convincingly, 106-58, marking the most points one team had ever scored in an Oklahoma high school football playoff game.)
Tipton proved that the next two weeks by letting its play on the field do the talking.
