Carnegie no match for Shattuck
CARNEGIE — Carnegie became the 26th straight team to bite the dust on Thursday.
Two-time defending Class B state champion Shattuck wore down the Wildcats for a 49-6 win. But first-year coach Trevor Knight said the loss was mainly a product of a program at the top and one still trying to get there.
“I just thought they came out more physical than us. Those kids have been in that system and they know what they’re supposed to do.” Trevor Knight said.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom for the Wildcats (1-4). Knight said he saw some positives, especially from players like Jett Mabry, Tyler Toyekoyah and Kirk Harrison.
