BP, Walters set all-Cotton County title game

It will be an all-Cotton County boys finals in tonight’s Comanche County Basketball Tournament, but neither punched a ticket without a fight.

Top-seeded Big Pasture pulled away from Chattanooga in the second half to earn a 50-39 victory.

No. 2 Walters countered a frantic Sterling rally with one of its own to take a 48-45 in Friday’s finale at Great Plains Coliseum.

Indiahoma and Frederick remained alive in the consolation bracket. The Warriors earned a 56-44 victory over Fletcher and the Bombers posted a 55-40 win over Geronimo.

The fun starts early today. Battles for fifth place match the Frederick and Geronimo girls at 11 a.m. and the Indiahoma- Frederick boys at 12:30. Third-place contests pair the Walters and Sterling girls at 2 and the Chatty-Sterling boys at 3:30.
