CACHE Memorial service for Tammy Carpenter, Cache, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at Wichita Baptist Church, 6th and Ash, Cache.
Tammy died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017.
Tammy was born Sept. 22, 1966, to Tom and Lola Whaley. She was a member of Wichita Baptist Church in Cache.
She graduated from Eisenhower High School in Lawton in 1984, and took some courses at Cameron University, Lawton. She was a past member of the Cache Jaycees and Cache Chamber of Commerce. She was a substitute teacher for many years in the Cache School system. She coached her sons' soccer teams for 10 years untll they started high school.
Her nicknames were "Squirt," given by her daddy, Thomas, and "Dixie" given by her friends for her Southern accent.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey S. Carpenter of Cache; three sons: Curtis Richey of Walters, and Thomas Richey and and Robert Richey, both of Astoria, Ore.; her mother, Lola Whaley of Lawton; her sister, Teresa Whaley-Hall of Lawton; nieces: Alexis and Brianna; nephew, Daniel W. Hall III; brother-in-law, Danny Hall Jr. of Lawton; her in-laws: Ernie and Barb Carpenter of Hamilton, Ohio; brother-in-law, Tim Carpenter of Hamilton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Tari Carpenter of West Chester, Ohio; her godparents: Aunt Laura Jean and Uncle Bill Childress; her three favorite cousins: Billy, Ronnie and Michael Childress; Uncle Leon and Aunt Carolyn Caudill of Johnson City, Tenn.; aunts: Jo Mutter of Mendota, Va.; Violet Brewer of Bristol, Va., and Dee Dee Cyrus of West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Calvin Whaley; grandparents: Roby and Margie Caudill, and William and Hattie Whaley; and several aunts and uncles.

Her favorite saying is "Live, Laugh, Love, Faith, Hope, Believe."
