FAXON Funeral for Patsy Jean Edwards, 83, of Faxon, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, in First Baptist Church in Faxon, with the Rev. Floyd Allen officiating.
Burial will follow in Faxon Cemetery under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
Patsy Jean Edwards passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, in Lawton.
She was born to the Rev. William F Smith Sr. and Pearl Marler Smith on Sept. 4, 1934, in Portageville, Ark.
Patsy had five brothers and three sisters, all of whom she enjoyed playing jokes on. She enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities with her family, sewing and making baby quilts. She was willing to help whenever and wherever she could, and some of her greatest enjoyment was helping to care for the elderly in the area.
She enjoyed attending gospel singings with her sister and brother-in-law, Pearl and John Graham as well as singing with her daughter at church singings, locally.
Patsy is survived by one daughter, Tricia Sellers and her husband Richard of Faxon; and four sons: Jerry Lacy and his wife Virginia, of Faxon, Ronald Edwards and wife Stacy of Wagoner, David Edwards of Stringtown, and Donald Edwards and fianceÈ Becky Aldridge of Alvin, Texas. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren: Kimberly Delker and husband David of Lawton, Donna Crow of Faxon, Jamie Kendall and husband Jeremy of Fletcher, Amanda Grimes and husband Brent of Chickasha, April Huitt and husband Robert of Lawton, Reyana Shaner and husband John of Oklahoma City, Darci McCray and husband Chance of Elgin, Tiarra Edwards of Edmond, Arielle Edwards of Broken Arrow, Landon Edwards of Broken Arrow, Zane Edwards of Oklahoma City, and Judd Edwards of Wagoner. She is also survived by 12 great- grandchildren: Emmit Crow, Zackery Crow, Keegan Kendall, Keeley Kendall, Gage Grimes, Lacy Grimes, Weston Huitt, Addison Shaner, Corben Freeman, Joe Finley McCray, Oliver McCray, and Woodrow Edwards; and one sister, Pearl Graham of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Raymond, George, E.J., William F. Jr., and Harold; and her sisters: Clara Fletcher and Lorene Jenkins.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
