John Allen Hammock

MONTICELLO, Ark.  John Allen Hammock, 65, of Monticello, Ark.; passed away Tuesday, Jan.10, 2017, in Anadarko. 

He was born Sept. 7, 1952, in Warren, Ark., to Alford and Bertie M. Hammock. John married Jobyna Fern (Kauahquo) Hammock on Nov. 21, 1984. John worked several years as a mechanic on oil and gas exploration teams throughout Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, West Virginia, and Colorado. 

Later in life he moved to Lawton, and worked with Miller Distributing Company. He started as a delivery truck driver and later became a supervisor for the company.  

Survivors include his wife, Jobyna Fern Hammock; daughters: Kimberly K. Dailey and her husband Darren, Allison Jean, and Chris Williams and her husband Doug; grandchildren: Eric J. Ahtone, Randi L. Dailey, Damond D. Dailey, and Jackson Burghart; brothers: Ronnie Hammock and wife Teresa, and Lonnie Hammock; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews 

He was preceded in death by his parents: John Alford and Bertie M. Hammock; and one sister, Patricia Diane (Hammock) Sanson.
