Jimmie Dale Roberson

APACHE  Jimmie Dale Roberson, Apache, was born Jan. 3, 1943. in Plainview, Texas, to Dale and Johnnie (Byars) Lee.

Memorial service was at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at Parklane Church of Christ, Lawton, with Elbert Tilghman officiating.

Jimmie attended grade school, junior high and high school in Lawton, and was a graduate of Lawton High School. In October 1992, he married his friend for life, Frances. He was an avid carpenter and a long-haul trucker for Swift for several years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, of the home, Frances; his stepson, Terry Lynn Roberson Clark and his wife Larenda, Marlow, and their four children: Jessica and Archie Campbell, Lawton, Jennifer and Adam Carney, Marlow, Laura and Matt Jennings, Marlow, and Leona "Noni" and David Ford, Claremore; a sister, Barbara Stanko, Commerce Township, Mich.; a brother-law, Royce Cox, Cache; nieces and nephews: Diedre and Ronnie Cothern, Amarillo, Texas, Harvey and Becky Cox, Cache, Curtis and Traci Cox, Lawton, Meta Miller, Lawton, and Mark Thomas, Commerce Township, Mich.; and several great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends from church.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dale and Johnnie Roberson; and his sister, Linda Cox.
