George Frank Hollander
CACHE - George Frank Hollander, 88, Cache, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017, at his home in Cache surrounded by his family.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
Arrangements are under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
George was born June 4, 1929, to Frank A. Hollander and Cora M. Kern Hollander at Cache in the family home. He graduated from Cache High School in 1947, and from Cameron State Agicultural College in 1949. He retired in 1999 from civil service at Fort Sill.
George was a farmer and rancher and lived on the Hollander farm south of Cache his entire life. George was a member of the Cache Lions Club and the Lawton Antique Auto Club. George was a Cache School Board Member for 10 years and served as a board member of the Comanche County Rural Water District No. 4 for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; four children: Robert (Cindy) Hollander, Fort Stockton, Texas, Kathie (David) Harmon, Cedar Hill, Texas, Blaine (Pam) Hollander, Lawton, and George F. Hollander II, Cache; grandchildren: Tiffany Chrismon, Kyle Hollander, Chance (Angela) Hollander, Tricia (James) Phelps, Anna Hollander, George Hollander III, Andie Hollander, Brennan Laughy and Devon Laughy; great-grandchildren: Gus Hollander, Wyatt Hollander, Lane Hollander, Braxton Phelps, Jaystin Phelps, Gavin Phelps and Allie Phelps; niece, Carlene Hollander Wisner; and many other nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ruben Hollander and Carl Hollander; and two sisters: Frances Wynn and Dellemarette Miller.
Our deepest thank you to the staff of Promise Care Hospice for the care they provided and to family and friends who provided much needed support during this difficult time, and for the loving nursing care his granddaughter Tiffany was able to provide her grandpa. A special thank you to Mary Davis for her help and support over the past few weeks.
