Earl L. Alexander
Funeral for Earl L. Alexander, 87, Lawton, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at First Baptist West, Lawton.
Mr. Alexander died Saturday, May 12, 2018.
Interment will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.
Earl was born to Gerald and Mabel Alexander on July 6, 1930, in Amorita. Earl graduated high school in Friendship in 1948. He joined the National Guard in 1950 with the 45th National Guard 245th Tank Battalion Co. A, during the Korean war. Earl was a charter member of First Baptist West and a deacon. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
Earl is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara; daughter, Charlotte Atchley and husband Mark; daughter, Carla Romo and Dale Wood; grandchildren: Heather Holland-Anderson, Amber Conner, Matthew Atchley, Adam Holland and Shari Price and their spouses; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and one great-great-bonus-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Vories; brothers: Harold and Larry Alexander; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Ruby Graves; sisters-in-law, Arlene Alexander and Rose Graves; brother-in-law, Raymond Vories; and a special friend, Bob Coy,
