Doyce Wayne Grayson
Memorial service for Doyce Wayne Grayson, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at First United Methodist Church with Billie Harmon, pastor of the Arena Cowboy Church, officiating.
Burial of cremated remains will occur at a later date.
Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
Doyce Wayne Grayson passed away on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, in Lawton.
Doyce was born March 6, 1938, in Lawton, to Benjamin F. "Ben" and Ora Essie (Stephens) Grayson. He grew up in Lawton and graduated from Lawton High School in 1956. Doyce married his first wife, Billie Blackerby and later married Diane Wilson.
Doyce loved going to the Lawton Rangers Rodeo, car shows, OU football, Cameron University football and basketball and drag racing. He was president of the Cameron University Booster Club at one time and was considered a "Lawton Historian" to those who knew him. Doyce also had a great ability of remembering names and faces.
Doyce is survived by his wife, Diane (Wilson) Grayson; two sons: Darin Grayson and fianceÈ Allison Lee of Bedford, Texas, and Heath Grayson of Bedford, Texas; one daughter, Courtney Hickey of Hurst, Texas; four granddaughters: Taylor Grayson, Haley Hickey, Heather Hickey and Hayden Hickey; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Earlene Oxley and husband Jerry; a brother, Joe Grayson and wife Gynith; three stepdaughters: Jan Peters and husband Steve of Weatherford, Texas, Pamela Crawford and husband Tim of Watauga, Texas, and Shari Fox and husband Jerry of Bedford, Texas; four step grandchildren: Jennifer Sowden, Amy Plehinger, Steven Peters and Parker Simmons; six step-grandchildren; his first wife and mother of his children: Billie (Blackerby) Grayson; and his dog, Prince Charming.
Doyce was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: J.T. Grayson and Leon Grayson; and a sister, Lucille Hastings.
