Admitted gang member to face charges after fleeing

A Friday evening attempt to flee Lawton police with a cache of drugs led to a litany of charges and a prospect of life in prison for an, according to police, self-identified gang member.

Gregory Keith Dixon, 29, Lawton, made his initial appearance Monday in Comanche County District Court where he was charged with several felony counts: three counts of trafficking in illegal drugs, endangering others while eluding police, gang-related offense and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony; as well as misdemeanor counts: two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance, driving with a suspended/revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records indicate. He faces up to life in prison due to his prior felony convictions.
