3 face drug charges after arrests made
A man accused of trafficking methamphetamine following a drug bust told police he was only doing so to help solve his son's murder.
The Lawton Police Department's Special Operations Unit searched a house at 3410 NW Lincoln Wednesday morning after receiving information that a man there was selling large amounts of drugs. Richard J. Jackson, 44, was the primary suspect listed on the warrant, but police also arrested 59-year-old Prentice Scruggs and Ashley D. Morton.
The three appeared in court Friday. Jackson was charged with trafficking methamphetamine; Scruggs and Morton were charged with posession of meth. Jackson was ordered held in lieu of a $50,000 bond, while Scruggs and Morton received $5,000 and $3,500 bonds, respectively.
