Smith follows in father’s footsteps, takes Carnegie helm for first head coaching gig

CARNEGIE  Madden tournaments at the fieldhouse and summer cookouts are an excellent way for football players to bond with their new head coach, and that's exactly what Ethan Smith and the Wildcats have done since the new Carnegie football coach took over, replacing long-time coach Jim Harvey.

"We just want to get to know the kids on more of a personal basis and get to know them outside of football as well  not just as football players," Smith said. "It's definitely been exciting process and coach Harvey has been great and made this a very smooth transition.

"It's all leading to very exciting things for the Wildcats' future."
