Dalke begins Junior PGA
BRYAN, Texas Hobart's Brad Dalke begins his quest for a Junior PGA Championship title today at Miramont Country Club in Bryan, Texas.
The tournament, run by PGA of America, is meant to resemble the professional-level PGA Championship; it is a 72-hole event with a 54-hole cut to the low 30 boys and 30 girls.
The likes of Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson, Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson and Michelle Wie have played in the Junior PGA.
Dalke finished third last year after leading for the first two rounds at Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C. A University of Oklahoma commit since age 12, the Hobart resident is currently ranked fifth in GolfWeek's boys junior golf rankings. His highest finishes this season are third place at the Junior Invitation at Sage Valley and second place at the Terra Cotta Invitational.
