ODESSA, Texas - The Cameron baseball team split their doubleheader with UT Permian Basin on Saturday, taking game one 7-4, but falling 5-4 in the nightcap.

The Aggies are now 22-14 overall and 3-6 in the Lone Star Conference while UTPB is 8-23 overall with a 1-6 league mark.

In game one, the Falcons jumped to a 3-0 lead on two doubles in the first inning. In the fifth inning, Cole Williams doubled home a run to score the Aggies' first run.

UTPB again had a three-run edge after a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the fifth. It did not last long. In the sixth inning, Bronson Pulgados came to the plate with the bases loaded and powered a three-run double to tie the game at four.

An Eric Lozano single and a Ryan Banwart double extended the Aggies' lead to 6-4. In the seventh inning, Cameron tacked on an insurance run on a Oswaldo Godina double and Tyler Abrego came in to close out the 7-4 victory.

For the third game of the series and doubleheader nightcap, CU fell behind 4-0 as UTPB scored two runs by way of singles, one run on a sacrifice fly and one run on a throwing error from first base.
