Cameron's men's program hosting youth hoops camps
Cameron University men's basketball team will host a number of camps this summer for the community's youth with dates coming up soon in June and July.
Cameron head coach Andrew Brown and his staff are putting on three camps this summer are open to the public: the Elite Camp, the Individual Camp, and the Shooting Camp.
The Elite Camp is June 20 and is geared towards high level skill instruction for player who take basketball seriously. It is for limited to high school boys that are going into their freshman-senior years. The cost is $25 per camper (includes a t-shirt) and each session is limited to 16 participants. Sessions will last from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the Aggie Gym.
CU's next camp will be the Individual Camp. This camp, which will take place June 4-7, is available to boys and girls who are entering kindergarten to eighth grader. The kindergarten-second grade session will last from 9 a.m. to noon and costs $100, while the third-eighth grade session lasts from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and is $175 per camper. Lunch will be provided for campers staying the full day, as well as a free t-shirt, and a $15 discount is available for military families or children of Cameron employees. The individual Camp will be in the CU Rec Center.
