'Wild Flowering' set for Ramona Theatre

FREDERICK  The Frederick Arts and Humanities Council will present the melodrama "The Wild Flowering of Chastity" on Saturday at the Historic Ramona Theatre, 114 S. 9th.

A dinner will be at 6 p.m. and performance at 7 p.m.

"The Wild Flowering of Chastity" is a typical melodrama in which the villain uses devious means to evict an aged aunt and innocent niece. It will include surprising entrances by long lost sisters, a senile banker, the sheriff and a none-too-bright hero. The melodrama will feature local actors who include Karen Caldwell, Kristal Lucas, Kevin Robertson, John Morton, Mercedes Amyx, Vinson Orr, Felisha Crawford and John Amyx.

Tickets for the performance only are $10 and available at the door. Reservations are required for other tickets: $20 for both the dinner and performance and $50 for VIP seating and dinner. To make reservations call Dana Greer, 580-305-5689, or Caldwell, 580-305-5287.
