Theater company looking for actors for annual Native American New Play Festival
The Oklahoma City Theater Company is looking for Native American and non-Native American actors of all ages and types for its ninth annual Native American New Play Festival.
Casting will be for the featured production of "Round Dance," by Arigon Starr, and directed by Carolyn Dunn.
Open auditions are from 5 to 9 p.m. March 26-27; and callbacks are from 5 to 9 p.m. March 28. Auditions are in the Vinita Cravens Lounge at the Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker Ave.
"Actors will read from sides," said Maya Torralba, festival coordinator. "We will also scout talent for the staged readings of new plays: 'The Bone Picker' by Carolyn Dunn, 'Little Brother of War' by Bret Jones, 'River of Blood' by Ed Bourgeois, and 'Neechie-itas' by Jo MacDonald. The staged readings will also be held during the festival."
