Elvis will be back in the house with Roy Orbison in Duncan
DUNCAN - Those who have never seen an artist tribute show are in for a special treat. Rock-N-Roll Heaven: A Salute to the Legends, featuring the music of Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. June 3 at the Simmons Center, 800 Chisholm Trail Parkway.
Tickets are $25 and are available by calling the center at 580-292-2900, ext. 240. There may even be a few VIP tickets left. VIP tickets are $40 and include a pre-show meet and greet with the performers.
Kraig Parker will perform as Elvis and Al Nelson as Roy Orbison on the Duncan stage. Jean Macrander with Events Extraordinaire said she's been promoting shows for Parker for a dozen years and this show is one of their best.
"It appeals to a wide audience and is definitely as authentic as it comes to paying tribute to both Elvis and Roy Orbison," Macrander said. "The legendary stars are brought back to life in this must see performance."
Parker's tribute to Elvis has entertained audiences for almost 20 years. He's performed across America and Europe at casinos, performance halls, on cruise ships and with major symphony orchestras, including headlining shows in Las Vegas.
Parker has also toured with Presley's original vocal groups: The Jordanaires, The Stamps Quartet and The Sweet Inspirations. He's worked with Elvis' body guards and he's personally managed by Charles Tone, Elvis' tour producer from 1970-1977.
