CU piano, vocal music students plan concert

Cameron University piano students will be joined by vocal music students to present "SoirÈe IX: An Evening of French Music" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the McCutcheon Recital Hall. 

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for senior/military/non-Cameron students. Cameron students, faculty and staff are admitted free with a Cameron I.D.

Students scheduled to perform are pianists Brittany Dabbs, Thadyn DuPont, Amy Morales and Diana Webb; Lawton; and vocalists Gabe Caron, Altus; and Haleigh Adams, Lorenzo Butler, Corbyn Nauman and Natasha Scharfenberg, Lawton.

The program will consist of piano duets by FaurÈ and Debussy, French melodiÈs for voice and piano written by Debussy and Poulenc, the aria "Habanera" from Bizet's opera "Carmen," and the "Flower Duet" from Delibes' opera "LakmÈ." 

The annual soirÈe is presented by piano students who are enrolled in the accompanying class taught by Hyunsoon Whang, professor and McMahon Endowed Chair in Music.
