Hagen will run for state District 62
Nanette Hagen, a Lawton Democrat, has announced she is a candidate for the Oklahoma House District 62 seat.
Hagen is a long-time Lawton resident and is married to Anthony Hagen. Together, they have three grown children: Tony, Jennifer and Brent. Her nephew Harry has been a part of the Hagen household since the age of 5. She has six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Hagen was born to the late Edward Chestnut, a 100 percent disabled Navy veteran, and Nan Chestnut, who lives in Lawton.
Hagen said she learned early that toughness and fairness is a great combination for success in the classroom, which she demonstrated daily for almost four decades. She is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi. Her community outreach involves volunteering for the Miss Lawton Pageant, as well as working as assistant director of Miss Outstanding Teen. She recently was on the Miss Lawton Pageant board of directors.
