Donations needed to make 'Boo Review' a sweet success
DUNCAN Candy donations for the annual Boo Review on Main Street Duncan are being gratefully accepted now. Boo Review will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 28 on 7th to 10th streets along Main.
The Main Street Duncan organization a local nonprofit dedicated to promoting and preserving the historic downtown Duncan district collects candy donations and distributes it to the small business owners and organizations setting up at Boo Review.
All the kids in costume receive candy that Saturday, and approximately 2,500 kids attend this free event.
Donations of candy can be dropped off at the Main Street Duncan office during business hours, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. at 828B W. Main. Donations of pencils, bookmarks, and other items children would enjoy are being accepted in an effort to provide allergy free treats to the kids in costumes.
"Something besides candy is always a real treat for those kids who suffer from food allergies," said Natalie Cole, Main Street Duncan treasurer and commercial loan officer of BancFirst. "We love being a part of that."
